JOSEPH "SKIP" NOWLAND

“Skip” Nowland is a recognized leader and technology advisor to government and industry. He leverages more than 26 years of U.S. Army military service and 12 years of managing large-scale initiatives for leading government IT providers and telecommunications companies. Skip is committed to quickly and efficiently delivering secure network centric technologies to the Warfighter around the globe.
Skip was vice president and division director of SETA Corporation when it was acquired by Apptis in 2005. Previous to this, Skip served in senior executive positions at several high profile companies (SAIC, Booz Allen Hamilton, and MCI) where he was resopnsible for the technical performance (including systems integration, software development, information operation, and enterprise management) of federal programs supporting the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Department of Defense (DoD), the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Skip began his industry career in 1993, retiring from the U.S. Army after completing a successful 26-year career serving in a wide variety of key command and staff positions. The highlight of his military career was commanding the largest tactical signal brigade in the U.S. Army while stationed in Karlsruhe, Germany.
Skip earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Nebraska; an Master of Science in Public Administration from Shippensburg University, Carlisle, Pennsylvania; and a Master of Strategic Studies, from the U.S. Army War College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
