SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, HUMAN RESOURCES


Karen Meyer-Cain brings over 25 years experience in human resource management and human resource disciplines for companies in the technology, government contracting, hospitality, and financial industries. She is responsible for strategic vision and direction of Apptis Human Resources, including organization and staffing, compensation, employee benefits, company culture, training and development, employee relations, and employment practices and procedures.
 
Prior to joining Apptis, Karen served as executive vice president of human resources for Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), Inc., an industry leader in corporate governance and proxy voting.  Positioned as a strategic partner with corporate leadership, Karen drove a culture change creating a client-focused and performance-based organization through compensation and employee satisfaction programs.  During her tenure with ISS, the company made several major global acquisitions in which Karen was very active in the strategic development and integration of the acquired organizations.

Before ISS, Karen was the vice president of human resources for Avendra and spent more than a decade at TRW, Inc. as a human resources executive.  Karen began her career in human resources at Ford Aerospace & Communications Corporation in positions of increasing responsiblity within human resources management.

Karen graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She later graduated with honors from California State University, Long Beach, with a Master of Business Administration.
