SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE SECTOR

Mike Carroll joined Apptis in September 2005 and currently serves as Senior Vice President for the DoD Sector. Prior to joining Apptis, Mike served as a senior operations manager for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), where he was responsible for over $1 billion in major DoD programs. At SAIC, he also assisted in proposal development and various issues dealing with contracting and acquisition management. Prior to SAIC, Mike served as a project manager for Booz Allen & Hamilton, Inc. from 1998 to 2000, and program manager for Richard S. Carson and Associates, Inc. from 1996 to 1998.

Mike has successfully contributed to the growth of Apptis by significantly increasing revenues from DoD IT and telecommunications services. Under his leadership revenues in his sector alone have increased almost tenfold between 2005 and 2010. In addition, he has assembled a team of professionals that provide IT solutions and services that are critical to the DoD sector, including provisioning, configuration management, cyber security, telecommunications engineering, video engineering and program management support.

Mike has a distinguished 27 year military career with the U.S. Army during which he headed numerous major systems acquisition programs. Mike’s last assignment in the Army was the Director of Acquisition for a major command with over 800 contracting and acquisition personnel under his guidance.

Mike received his Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Management from Adelphi University, and his Master of Science in Contracts and Acquisition Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. In addition, Mike has received extensive military education in logistics, contracting and program management.
