SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, FEDERAL CIVILIAN AND HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS SECTOR
Tip Underwood brings extensive experience and a successful track record of selling and delivering innovative business and technology solutions within a variety of areas, particularly federal civilian and homeland security agencies.
Prior to joining Apptis, Tip was the Vice President and General Manager of Sales and Management Support at Unisys Corporation where he led the Unisys Federal sales management initiative including capture, proposal development, pricing, and overall sales governance. Aside from executing business development and pursuit strategy for the Civilian, Homeland Security, and Department of Defense/Intel Business units at Unisys, Tip is also a technology expert with experience in full lifecycle development and Enterprise Resource Planning with Oracle Financial, as well as solutions delivery approach processes.
Additionally, Tip served as the partner in charge of Unisys’ Customs and Border Security Practice where he led a team of subject matter experts, software developers, architects, and management consultants supporting critical homeland security initiatives, as well as international Border, Port, and Cargo Security programs for the corporation.
Tip’s professional development includes Six Sigma Lean, Process Modeling, and CMMI among others. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Central Florida.
