Description:  Apptis supports the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) Network, a state-of-the-art, gigabit fiber data communications backbone connecting approximately 3,100 users.   Apptis supports more then 30 software applications primarily running through NAL and Web-enabled through Windows Servers and provides DHCP IP connectivity.  Apptis also supports electronic mail, routing over 65,000 messages per day.  Apptis is responsible for the development and maintenance of business applications in support of the WJHTC. These applications reside on both the mainframe and client-server platforms. All systems are either web-enabled or are developed as web applications.

Designation:  The ITSS contract provides support for Information Technology functions at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center.  Supports areas designated under ITSS include network support, helpdesk/desktop/ video conferencing support, electronic mail support, application development support, and document management support.
