Description:  MASS ESSA was initially established to support the Terminal Business Unit (originally ATB, now ATO-T) and William J. Hughes Technical Center Organizations.  Support services available under MASS ESSA include Engineering; Applied Sciences (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Meteorology, and Metallurgy); Research; Programming; System Integration; Configuration Management; System Maintenance; Deployment/Decommission; Human Factors; Training; Air Traffic Control Support; Airway Facilities/Aviation Systems Support; Program Management, Business, and Financial Support; Planning, Control and Integration Support; and Transition and Implementation Support.

Designation:  New projects, existing projects and other FAA programs have the opportunity to use this contract at any time.  The services rendered under this contract may also be delivered to Government agencies other than the FAA.  Other FAA organizations and Government Agencies may obtain services under ESSA by establishing a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the Technical Center.
