Description:  Apptis supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the acquisition, testing, deployment, and maintenance of National Airspace System (NAS) Terminal, En Route, Oceanic, Free Flight, Weather, Voice Switching, Communications, Maintenance Automation, and Flight Service systems. Apptis has established an exceptional performance record, providing software, hardware and system engineering, test and evaluation, data analysis, system security, configuration management, training, quality assurance, technical writing/editing, NAS documentation, database management, and program management expertise. Apptis SOS support currently spans 28 separate and unique delivery orders and provides the FAA over 200 support personnel.  Apptis provides cradle-to-grave support, covering all aspects of the system development lifecycle, including acquisition, development, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning efforts.

Designation:  SOS-6 is designated for the maintenance of existing NAS Systems and the baselining and maintenance of NAS Capital Improvement Program Systems. Tasks could also include but are not limited to areas such as process improvement plans of the FAA, information security, NAS facility security and others.
