Apptis Success Stories
Supporting Defense and National Security
Apptis has a track record of success in driving and supporting the complex technology of defense and national security. Here are some representative success stories:
- DISA DISN - As a founding team member for the Global Information Grid Bandwidth Expansion (GIG-BE), Apptis helped drive functional requirements, architecture and design, testing, and transition. Today we oversee acquisitions and finance for DISN's $300 million of activity worldwide.
- DHS - Apptis has a long history of providing enterprise-wide solutions to DHS and the agencies that form our national security infrastructure, including:
- Customs and Border Protection (CBP)
- U.S. Coast Guard (USCG)
- Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
- Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC)
- Citizenship and Immigration Service (CIS)
- DoS - Passport Systems - As the lead contractor for the past five years, Apptis spearheaded the modernization of a complex net of processes, applications, and systems. What was a slow, paper-based process, is now the model of automated efficiency and impenetrable high-tech security.
- TSA - Apptis supported completion of the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) for all of TSA's 70 operational systems and currently staffs TSA with Information System Security Officers, a C&A Remediation Team, and a Certification Team.
- The FAA - Over two decades, Apptis has supported the acquisition, testing, deployment, or maintenance of over 25 National Air Space (NAS) systems. Currently we provide 45 FTEs to support the WJHTC Network, a gigabit fiber data communications backbone connecting 3,100 users.
