Chantilly, VA — May 23, 2006 — Apptis Inc., an information technology solutions and services provider, was recognized by Washington Technology magazine as one of the Top 100 prime contractors in the federal information technology market. With more than $700 million in 2005 total revenues, Apptis secured a solid placement in the top 50, ranking at number 43. “This year’s list reflects the intense competition among the top companies in the government market,” said Nick Wakeman, editor of Washington Technology. “These companies are constantly on the lookout for new opportunities, whether it is pursuing a fresh market or making an acquisition to sharpen their competitive edge. We are proud to deliver to our readers this year’s Top 100 list and our accompanying analysis as the best source of information on the companies, trends and teaming opportunities in the federal IT market.”
The magazine compiles its annual Top 100 list through the work of market research firm Federal Sources Inc. (FSI), of McLean, Va., which analyzes fiscal year 2005 procurement data from the General Service Administration’s Federal Procurement Data System – Next Generation.
Notably, in 2005 Apptis was awarded an $85 million contract from the Defense Department’s Military Health System for services covering a wide range of IT work, including development of a data warehouse and information system to support the TRICARE Designated Provider Program. Most recently, Apptis secured a five-year contract with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), valued at over $16 million.
