Integrator Secures Five-Year Contract to Provide IT Solutions to Army
Chantilly, VA — March 27, 2007 — Apptis, Inc. today announced that it was awarded one of six prime contracts for the U.S. Army’s IT Enterprise Solutions-2 Hardware (ITES-2H) consolidated contract vehicle to support Army Net-operations/Net-centric capabilities. ITES-2H is a $5 billion (combined) three-year contract with two one-year optional add-on periods.
ITES-2H gives Apptis the opportunity to leverage its experience in successfully managing and executing large information technology enterprise services contracts. “Apptis is fully invested in working with the Army to provide the information technology equipment solutions required to maintain Army infrastructure and fulfill its national security mission,” said Skip Nowland, Apptis ITES-2H program director, “We look forward to continuing to work closely with the Army to enhance their net-centric capabilities and to accomplish their mission through the strategic and efficient use of information technology.”
The contract will be the primary vehicle for the Army to purchase hardware and fully supports the Army enterprise infrastructure and infostructure needs with IT solutions for server, storage and network environments as well as related integration and maintenance services.
