Former President and General Manager of Public and Commercial Sector Takes on Increased Leadership Role
Chantilly, VA — January 9, 2007 — Apptis, Inc. today announced the promotion of Rene LaVigne to chief operating officer. In this role, LaVigne will direct Apptis customer focused business units, technical direction and daily operations.
LaVigne’s more than twenty years of sales, marketing, operations and finance experience in the information technology and financial industries make him a significant asset to Apptis. His ability to analyze, assess and summarize critical business decisions and strategies will be pivotal to the company’s success in 2007. LaVigne will focus on service delivery to existing clients and on growing Apptis’ customer base in the public and private sectors.

For the last three years, LaVigne served as the president and general manager of Apptis’ public and commercial sector, where he helped build a $300M business. Prior to joining Apptis, LaVigne was president of Northrop Grumman Computing Systems, a federal systems integrator. LaVigne also spent a decade with Ernst & Young in Los Angeles, CA and Washington D.C., developing his financial and business management foundation in the public accounting, auditing and business advisory service markets. He received his B.S. degree in accounting from Loyola Marymount University in 1983, is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
