Integrator to Play Key Role in GSA Networx Transition
Chantilly, VA — August 14, 2007 — Apptis, Inc. today announced that the company has secured a second major piece of Networx transition support work under the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Connections Multiple Award IDIQ contract. The GSA’s Networx contract is the largest federal networking contract ever awarded.
As part of this three-year Networx transition effort, Apptis will support the migration of more than 135 federal agencies and departments from FTS2001 contracts to the new suite of Networx contracts. Apptis will play a key role in supporting GSA’s geographically-dispersed regional offices and local client agencies in managing the strategy and execution of the Networx transition. Specifically, Apptis is supporting GSA’s regional consolidated switch customers.
“Apptis has built a strong practice in communications and network transition management combining technical expertise with proven personnel tools and solutions,” said Jim Russell, vice president of the Advanced Systems Division at Apptis. “We look forward to working closely with GSA and its clients on transition strategy and execution.”
