Apptis Provides Software Development IT Services for National Credit Union Administration

Chantilly, VA — May 13, 2010 — Apptis, Inc., a leading provider of essential IT and communications services to key Defense and Civilian agencies, teamed with the Enterprise Services Center (ESC) in a successful implementation of a new financial management system for the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). The objective of this project, termed Financial Federalization Project (FINFED), transformed the core financial management processes and systems of the agency. The 17-month engagement, valued at over $2 million for Apptis, represents Apptis’ competency in providing enterprise resource planning (ERP) services.

The NCUA is the independent federal agency that charters and supervises federal credit unions. Established by the NCUA Office of the Chief Financial Officer, FINFED aims to modify and improve the administration’s financial practices so it can perform federal accounting using the U.S. Government’s Standard General Ledger at the transaction level with appropriate budgetary and accounting entries.

In 2005, the ESC was designated by the Office of Management and Budget as a Federal Financial Management Center of Excellence. The center provides business solutions for federal agencies in the areas of enterprise financial management systems, accounting services, information technology, and procurement. FINFED represents the first of two implementation initiatives for which Apptis and ESC have successfully partnered.
