Apptis Opens Hampton Roads, Virginia Office
Office to support Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology for Navy Cyber Forces Command
Hampton Roads, VA — May 09, 2011 — Apptis, Inc., a leading provider of essential IT and communications services to key Defense and Civilian agencies, today announced the official opening of its Hampton Roads, VA office. The southeastern Virginia-based team will work with Navy and DoD customers throughout the region to develop technology solutions that meet mission needs and leverage technology investments.
The office is located at 295 Bendix Road in Virginia Beach Town Center and will be officially opened today with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by local business leaders, the chamber of commerce, and military officials.
The Hampton Roads team will support the Navy Cyber Forces Command (CYBERFOR) in its mission to maintain the capabilities of command and control architecture and networks to enhance Naval Network Warfare Command (NETWARCOM) support of the Global Information Grid (GIG). The majority of work will take place at the Joint Expeditionary Base, Little Creek-Fort Story in Virginia Beach, VA.

Ahmad (AJ) Mojaddidi, Program Manager, will operate the office, bringing a successful track record of driving key information technology operations and business development initiatives in the field. He has a demonstrated record of success in global operations management and Six Sigma implementation. AJ is joined by the Harry Atkinson, Program Manager, who has over 35 years working in the telecommunications area. He worked for the General Services Administration for 18 years in the FTS organization before he retired in 2004. Harry and AJ have a talented support group that continues to deliver superior service for the Navy. Their staff includes recent Distinguished Virginia Young AFCEAN award winner, Amanda Jordan.
