PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

When it comes to implementing complex IT initiatives, risks are many – schedule overruns, cost overruns, cancelled projects.  We can minimize your risk by leveraging domain knowledge, cross-functional skills, and our program management discipline that will maximize IT performance and ensure your projects are delivered on budget and on time.

From OMB-300 reporting for the FAA to the worldwide management of over 26 tasks for Defense Information Systems Agency, our team has a highly favorable track record of managing existing, planned, and ongoing enterprise-wide IT initiatives.

The keys to our success: clearly defining goals and roles; accurately applying resources; and always aligning IT with the mission and existing environment. We follow project management methodologies set forth by the Program Management Institute and Six Sigma. Many Apptis managers are PMP/PMI certified and Apptis is certified against the ISO 9001:2000 Standard in Chantilly and San Antonio for Information Technology services.

Today’s clients are most interested in tapping our expertise in managing telecommunications transitions, ROI evaluations, program funding support, earned value management systems (EVMS), and performance-based contracting.

Defense Information System Agency (DISA) relies on Apptis to run the Defense Information Systems (DISN) Business Office. Our team provides governance, oversight, finance and acquisitions support for DISN’s $310M of activity worldwide. Apptis’ exceptional performance has been rewarded with a 120% annual growth in staffing and consistent recognition from senior management.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) asked Apptis to implement a flexible, scalable solution to help the STARS program be EVM compliant. Through the integration of "Primavera" the FAA now has the depth and consistency of reporting to meet OMB requirements. STARS was chosen to pilot a solution for reporting EVM in the FAA.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tasked Apptis with implementing an e-commerce portal with online tracking and asset management tools as part of an 820-site refresh. Acquisition costs were reduced and asset management tracking was improved with GAO inventory audits now passed annually. Nationwide refreshment activities are now planned and executed using the e-commerce portal solution.
